If Magellan Wars could in some way have a contract with Facebook in order to give Facebook the benefit of Magellan Wars. Yet also giving Magellan Wars the benefit of free advertising and possibly chop/kill server costs, and maybe even pay admins, we might be able to turn Magellan Wars into the FIRST "self-perpetuating machine" in human history!
Imagine the power, imagine the advertisement, if we could in some way or another cause or create an agreement with Facebook, then we would perhaps have less down times in addition to millions of people that could potentially play the game. The game would most likely receive massive amounts of money to keep it upgrading (as compared to now), possibly fueling the next MW also.
So, if there any hope of this? Has this been tried to be contracted or talked about with Facebook persons? Need some strings be pulled? Surely someone around here knows some people, who knows some people, who know some people?
I don't want MW, to be downtrodden, when it is such an amazing game, with beautifully worded events, amazingly complex battle systems and somewhat interesting economics.
Or is it feared, that Facebook would kill the originality of Magellan Wars in some form or fashion?[/list] |

or something like
"Your friend GZ sent you a gift!" Accept - Ignore
[then you open it up and got a FRee Doom Fleet! yayy!]
"Council GayTsuki declared war on Potatoes, ask your friends to Help!"
[then GZ will troll your fb wall]
Anyway, its not gunna happen. Most retarded people wanted to see animated battles, like Ninja Saga throwing a shuriken. How awesome it would be seeing your doom fleet firing green algae known as ectroplasmic shit on your purple colored hull? yeah you can only imagine bub. Not gunna happen. Its like asking Adam Sandler NOT to make retarded movies. |

Mafia Wars has no animation.
And look at how many people play it.

This game is positively thriving with activity, even as I type this there are more than 15 people playing this very second! |

Agreed it has no animation. But the GUI itself, and time-driven turns and amassing friends (up to 501) basically is what makes the game addictive.
But yeah, if our game mechanics would somehow changed and patterned over that kind of game, maybe it would be a hit.
All we need is $$$ to make it happen |

nah man i think the one thing magellanwars really lacks is exposure.
the main avenue of truly new people is from mpogd.com. most people are either old AS players or friends.
I think people tend to look for unique games that offer a different type of gameplay and facebook exposure would do this gem a huge favour. I still think AS was so popular back in the day mostly for that reason. |
