Each species had different laws about cloning, (of course, the majority did not allow cloning), but as population rapidly decreased following rapid space colonization, areas requiring population increases developed, causing the species of the universe to change their thoughts about cloning and dedicating themselves to this research. There was much opposition from ethics and religious scholars, but these were denounced in favor of the increasing necessity for population, and cloning research is completed. Thereafter, many individuals seek a method to live forever by injecting their thoughts and brain neural scannings into their clones.
